The Magnet Recognition Program ® from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) acknowledges health care organizations that demonstrate excellence and innovations in nursing practice and adherence to national standards and delivery of nursing services.

In short, a Magnet ® designation is the ultimate credential for quality nursing.

This year, Denton Regional Medical Center of Denton, Texas joins the ranks of Magnet designated HCA facilities.

To put the magnitude of this honor in perspective, there are currently only 393 Magnet facilities worldwide. Slightly less than 7 percent of all American hospitals have earned this distinction. HCA now has 9 facilities with Magnet ® designations.
