Sunrise Hospital Announces New Chief Nursing Officer

Lori-Brown-Sunrise-CNOLori Brown, DHA, RN, MSN, CENP, CPHQ, FACHE, has been named chief nursing officer at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and Sunrise Children's Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lori joins Sunrise from Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, where for the past five she served as senior vice president for patient care services and chief nursing executive.

She brings a solid background of nursing and patient care experience to Sunrise. Before ACH she held executive positions with Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and Children's Hospital and Health System in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, her home town.

"I am excited about the opportunity at Sunrise and continuing to improve upon the solid foundation of delivering quality care to the region.  I look forward to being a part of the team at Sunrise, as they continue to put patients first," she said.

"Lori brings a solid record of accomplishment over her tenure in the nursing profession.  She will be a tremendous asset to our team at Sunrise, as we continue to deliver the best care in Southern Nevada," said Todd Sklamberg, Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and Sunrise Children’s Hospital CEO.

She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing and Master of Science in nursing from Marquette University and her doctoral degree in health administration from Central Michigan University.

Lori is also a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. She has been involved in several research projects and served as an instructor as well.
