We're already halfway into phase 3 of the Executive Development Program. The phase four panel review begins on March 30. In the meantime, take a moment to reflect on your successes as we present the latest alumni promotion of Joanna Conley, a COO Development Program Associate.
Joanna was recently promoted on March 1, 2012, to Chief Operating Officer for Poinciana Medical Center in Kissimmee, Florida. She will put to use her eight plus years of healthcare leadership and her experience in hospital strategic planning to oversee the construction of the medical center and the expansion of healthcare in the Poinciana community.
Enhancing the availability of medical services in Kissimmee and working with local businesses is part of the development plan of the new medical campus and medical office building.
Joana joined HCA's COO Development Program in June 2009 at Osceola Regional Medical Center as Associate Administrator I and moved up to Associate Administrator II in 2010. Also during this time she was Ethics and Compliance Officer at the Osceola center.
“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Joanna to this important new position. She has played a key role at Osceola Regional Medical Center,” said Kathryn J. Gillette, Chief Executive Officer of Osceola Regional Medical Center.
HCA’s total investment in the medical center is $65 million, and once fully operational in the next 18 months, it will employ 200 people.
Board certified in healthcare management, Joanna is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and was awarded the North Carolina ACHE Early Careerist of the Year Award in 2007.
Joanna received a Master of Business Administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She also received a Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction in Public Health, Health Policy and Administration with Honors, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with Distinction in Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Joanna is a graduate of Leadership Osceola County, a member of the Junior League of Greater Orlando, and serves on the board of the Downtown Kissimmee Area Council. She was also recently recognized as an Osceola Woman Magazine 40 under 40 Honoree.
Congratulations, Joanna.
