The annual mention recognizes the region's top up-and-comers who have made a big impact on Central Florida despite their youth.
Joanna, a 2010 graduate in the Executive Development Program, was named CEO of Poinciana in January 2013. The 110,000-square-foot, 30-bed facility opened in July that summer and now employs more than 300 personnel and 160 doctors with plans for a 400,000-square-foot vertical addition in late 2015. The project will boost the bed count to 76.
Joanna led the construction of the initial Poinciana project, coordinated the recruitment of the inaugural staff and worked with the community and local business to enhance the availability of medical services.
Previously she served as the Chief Operating Officer for Poinciana, a title she earned in March 2012 after serving as Associate COO for Osceola Regional Medical Center. She also has more than a decade of experience in healthcare leadership.
