Chad Patrick has joined Orange Park Medical Center as chief executive officer, replacing retiring CEO Tom Pentz. Tom will stay on as a consultant during the transition.
Patrick comes to Orange Park Medical in Florida from serving as division president for Regional Care Hospital Partners in Brentwood, Tennessee, where he was responsible for a five-hospital healthcare system.
His previous leadership roles include serving as president and CEO of Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky and as CEO of Dayton Heart Hospital in Ohio before that. Early in his leadership career he served as executive vice-president and chief operating officer at Catholic Health Partners in southwest Ohio.
"Chad Patrick brings a proven track record with a strong commitment to patient satisfaction, quality outcomes, physician relations and community relations," said Ron Coleman, board chair, Orange Park Medical Center. "Patrick has been a catalyst for improvement and growth throughout his career, and while Orange Park has built a strong community reputation, Patrick is a special leader who will take the hospital to even greater heights."
Patrick has earned several awards as CEO in his prior hospitals, including being selected as a "Top 20 Executive" for Catholic Health Partners Leadership Academy. He attributes his success to placing employee satisfaction as a top priority, which positively impacts patient satisfaction and clinical quality excellence.
"Orange Park Medical Center is best positioned to provide the residents of our surrounding community with the most comprehensive, award-winning care. That, along with our heightened commitment to patient satisfaction and quality outcomes, is very meaningful when people choose which emergency or operating room to receive care," Patrick said.
Patrick earned his master's in health administration from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor of Science in respiratory therapy from Ohio State University.
