OU Medical System Names New CEO of Children’s Hospital

OU Medical has named Jon Hayes, MHA, CMPE, chief executive officer for its Children's Hospital. The 326-bed facility is the largest and most comprehensive pediatric hospital in Oklahoma. It's also the only freestanding children's hospital in the area.

Jon steps into the position formerly held by Charles Spicer, current president and chief executive officer of OU Medical System.

Prior to this, Jon served at The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine where he held various leadership positions involving children's healthcare since 2001.

Before his role in the Department of Pediatrics at the university, Jon served as clinics administrator of OU Physicians, director for an international health insurance program and program manager for the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

"Jon is a strategic leader who is committed to teamwork with a proven track record of building good physician and staff relationships," Charles Spicer said.
