Tamara Peavy has been named as Metropolitan Methodist's new chief nursing officer. A graduate of HCA's new Accelerated Market Program (AMP), Tamara was chosen to participate in the program for CNO Development. The AMP program targets local talent to fill market-based needs.
Tamara has been with Metropolitan Methodist since 2010 where she started as a vice president for nursing. In 2012, she joined the AMP program as an associate CNO and quickly progressed to the position of interim chief nursing officer, bringing more than 15 years of clinical and leadership experience.
Prior to her role at Metropolitan Methodist she supervised surgical services for South Austin Medical Center of the St. David's Healthcare Partnership.
Most recently, Tamara led a successful Joint Commission survey and CMS quality and regulatory survey with no direct clinical findings. She also led the implementation of a prescriptive patient satisfaction model that contributed to major improvements in patient satisfaction (HCAHPS) ratings at Metropolitan.
Her educational background includes a BSN from University of the Incarnate Word and MSN from the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Tamara began her new role as CNO at Metropolitan Methodist in July.
Congratulations to you, Tamara.
