Southern Hills Hospital CEO Appointed to ACHE

ceo-kimball-andersonKimball Anderson, chief executive officer of Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas since 2009, has been appointed to the American College of Healthcare Executives as the interim regent representing the state of Nevada.

In this role, Kim will be responsible for representing the interests of ACHE members and is the primary local liaison with chapters and other organizations in their established relationships with ACHE.

Kim, a Fellow of ACHE, said he is honored to represent healthcare executives throughout Nevada and that he is "grateful to the American College of Healthcare Executives for this opportunity to serve, and work through the continued healthcare challenges that face our state and nation."

With HCA since 1988, Kim formerly served as chief operating officer at Timpanogos Regional Hospital and Mountain View Hospital in Utah for 12 years. He first joined HCA as the Directory of Dietary at Mountain View.

His contributions to the Southern Hills community include creating and implementing new hospital programs and events such as the High School to Healthcare program that teaches local high school medical students about the industry, the Las Vegas Balloon Festival, a three-day benefit event for the Las Vegas Metro Police Department's non-profit Search and Rescue Team and his 2012 March of Dimes Award for "Administration – Nurses' Choice," where he was named top hospital CEO in Southern Nevada.
