HCA has done it again. For the fourth year in a row, we were declared "One of The World's Most Ethical Companies" by the Ethisphere Institute.
Ethisphere is a New York-based think tank dedicated to the creation, advancement and sharing of best practices in business ethics, corporate social responsibility and anti-corruption.
The designation recognizes companies that go beyond making statements about doing business ethically and translate those words into action.
Ethisphere recognizes only those who promote ethical standards and practices internally and who exceed legal compliance minimums and shape future standards in their industry by introducing best practices.
"Behaving as an ethical business and bettering the human condition is both our culture and our daily goal," said Michael Neeb, President and Chief Executive Officer of HCA International, the group’s UK business.
“Winning this award four years in a row, reflects the dedication and hard work of our doctors, nurses, specialist technicians, in fact every individual in our business and I thank everyone here at HCA International for playing a part in achieving these high standards and winning this honor once again,” he added.
As you know, HCA is the largest healthcare provider in the country, but you not realize that we are also the largest non-governmental healthcare provider in the world, with six leading hospitals in London and twenty diagnostic and treatment centers in and around London and Manchester.
