Alan started his career in HCA's Capital Division in 2008 serving as an Administrative Resident. Within two years he was accepted into the COO Development program where he served as Associate Chief Operating Officer at Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.
As Associate COO he led numerous successful projects, working directly with division, ancillary and clinical departments across all three campuses.
Most notable was his effort in transitioning vendors managing blood products to the tune of $1 million in savings, and securing another $18 million in favored pricing for HCA nationwide, all without missing a beat for patients in need of blood products.
Alan earned his Bachelors in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his Masters of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University where he also earned the Richard Bracken Award.
His new role with Capital Regional Medical begins this month, February.
