The Executive Development Program provides the necessary foundation for a successful career as an administrative leader at HCA.
Those selected will go on to become full-time Associate Administrators, trained in best practices and mentored to develop critical skills and competencies specific to HCA leadership.
How Candidates Are Selected
The application process is a five-phase operation beginning in the fourth quarter of every calendar year and extending through the first or second quarter of the following year. Here's what you can expect for the 2013 cycle:
Phase 1: October 1, 2012 – January 4, 2013. Online applications submitted with a current resume and two professional or academic references who can attest to your leadership potential.
Phase 2: January. Phase 2 requires completion of a comprehensive leadership assessment by the two references provided in your application.
Phase 3: February. Those moving to Phase 3 will be scheduled for a video conference interview with a member of the executive development team.
Phase 4: March. Selected applicants are scheduled for a live panel interview at HCA's corporate office in Nashville, Tennessee.
Phase 5: April. Finalists receive formal acceptance and facility assignment by Executive Development and Executive Recruitment.
