In the latter part of June, Jeanna Barnard, CEO of Bayshore Medical Center, part of HCA's Gulf Coast Division in Pasadena, Texas, announced the facility's new COO, Ohme Entin.
“We are so fortunate to have Ohme join Bayshore Medical Center,” said Barnard. “She has demonstrated a depth of skill in healthcare quality and innovation that will be invaluable in her role as a Chief Operating Officer.”
Ohme comes out of HCA's Executive Development Program where she started as an Associate Administrator I at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas, in 2008.
She quickly rose to Associate Administrator II and transferred to The Woman's Hospital of Texas in 2010, where she held several positions including Chief Staffing Officer, Ethics and Compliance Officer and oversaw the hospital's development of a Center of Excellence for Continence. She also provided administrative oversight of the Laboratory, Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition Services and 12 satellite Woman's Clinics.
Most recently, Ohme was Associate Chief Operating Officer at TWHT. She started her new role as COO of Bayshore Medical Center in the Gulf Coast Division following the announcement and says she is "excited to begin working with the fantastic team of leaders, physicians and employees at Bayshore Medical Center. This is a great opportunity to work with the growing communities Bayshore currently serves to develop excellence in a changing healthcare environment.”
Ohme received her Master of Health Administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Rutgers in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
Congratulations, Ohme.
