St. David's Appoints New Chief Financial Officers to Two Facilities

Both St. David's North Austin Medical Center and Heart Hospital of Austin have been appointed new chief financial officers by St. David's Healthcare in Central Texas.

Natalie Pack is the new CFO of St. David's North Austin Medical Center and Laura Wiess has assumed the role at Heart Hospital.

CFO-Natalie-PackNatalie joins St. David's Medical from The Medical Center of Plano, another HCA affiliate and Level II trauma facility with 429 licensed beds. At Plano she had served in various positions since 2007, including assistant controller, controller and ultimately, vice president of finance.

Natalie has two decades of financial management and accounting experience.

She started with HCA as an associate controller in HCA's chief financial officer development program serving at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Laura Wiess has been with St. David's Healthcare for more than 16 years, serving most recently as the assistant CFO of both St. David's North Austin and St. David's Round Rock Medical Center.

CFO-Laura-WiessIn this role she supported the development and expansion of numerous programs and facilitated multiple facility expansions and renovations.

Laura was also responsible for accounting, patient access, case management, health information management, information technology, supply chain and contracts, and she served as chief staffing officer.

Before her time at those two facilities, Laura was the controller for St. David's Management Service Organization, where she was responsible for the financial operations of the St. David's Physician Practices.

Later, she served as controller at St. David's Medical Center for eight years and as CFO of St. David's Georgetown Hospital.

In total, Laura has more than 22 years of experience in the financial sector.
