TriStar Centennial Has a New COO

TriStar Centennial Medical Center has named Brian Marger as its new chief operating officer.

Brian leaves his current position as vice president of operations at Sarah Cannon Research Institute to start his new role May 5, 2014.

Brian has been with HCA since 2003 where he started as the assistant vice president, Strategic Resource Group.

He then served briefly as COO for Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, Florida in 2008 while maintaining his position with Sarah Cannon. At Osceola he was integral in service line strategy development, improvement of operational efficiencies and improvement of patient outcomes.

While at Sarah Cannon, Brian was responsible for working with physician and leadership teams across all HCA markets in the successful development of the oncology service line.

In a press release, Heather Rohan, president & CEO for TriStar Centennial said, "Brian brings proven leadership experience and an ability to improve efficiencies through the development of highly effective teams. This coupled with a deep understanding of hospital operations, physician management, and service line development, will make Brian an integral part of leading TriStar Centennial’s continued growth and success.”

Brian earned his bachelor's in political science from Duke University and his MBA with an emphasis in finance and healthcare from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.

He's a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves as the Board Chair Elect for Gilda's Club Nashville.
