Lisa-J-St-Aubyn-Research-Psychiatric-CEOLisa J. St. Aubyn has been named the new CEO for Midwest Health System's Research Psychiatric Center, a campus of Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Lisa steps in to replace former CEO Richard Faillia.

Research Psychiatric is one of Greater Kansas City Metropolitan's largest providers of behavioral healthcare services. It also is one of the few comprehensive inpatient facilities.

Lisa's new role will make her responsible for the 100-bed center in addition to the 25 beds of the inpatient center, two outpatient clinics in Missouri and a 10-bed GeroPsych unit at Cass Regional Medical Center.

Not a problem for Lisa, as she's a veteran behavioral health executive who brings to the table a rich background in operational, clinical and marketing strategies.

She joined HCA in 2013 as regional vice president for the HCA Behavioral Division where she oversaw 10 behavioral health programs in the North and West Florida divisions.

Before that, Lisa served as vice president of operations, behavioral health at Horizon Health in Lewisville, Texas, heading implementation, management, retention and expansion efforts in multiple markets across the U.S.

Her retention record of assigned programs for more than two years was 98 percent and she spearheaded expansion of services in multiple locations.

"Research Psychiatric Center and the residents of the Kansas City area will be greatly served by Lisa's depth of experience and passion for patient-focused clinical programs," M.L. Lagarde III, president, HCA Midwest Health System said.

"Lisa is well-versed in developing and leading teams of excellent, passionate behavioral health professionals," said Research Medical Center CEO Jackie DeSouza.  "She also has considerable strengths in conceptualizing, developing and orchestrating patient-centric clinical programs through strong team development, strategic marketing, training and leadership, emphasizing ethical standards."

Expanding on her experience, Lisa's career also includes private behavioral health practice, CEO, chief operating officer and director or Residential Treatment and director of Clinical Services at CPC College Meadows Hospital in Lenexa and outpatient therapist at Heart of America Family Services in Kansas City, Kansas.

She received her bachelor's in social work from the School of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas, where she also received her master's in social work.

"I look forward to joining one of Kansas City's true behavioral health assets that provides comprehensive, quality patient-centered care and clinical programs," said Lisa. "Staff is the backbone of an organization's success, and Research Psychiatric Center has a team that is mission-driven and collaborative. And, it is exciting to be part of Kansas City's largest healthcare provider and to build upon the strong foundation that Richard Failla established during his time as Research Psychiatric Center CEO."

Congratulations, Lisa.
