Come August 1, 2013, Michael Sherrod will take the reins of TriStar Greenview Regional as the hopsital's new chief executive officer, replacing outgoing CEO, Mark Marsh.
Michael comes over from HCA North Florida's Coliseum Northside Hospital in Macon, Ga., where he was CEO since 2010 and managed several successful improvement and customer service initiatives, launched new service lines like the spine and bariatric programs. He also developed strong relationships with physicians and supported the recruitment of primary care and specialty physicians.
In a column on WBKO.com, Steve Corbell, President of TriStar Health, to which Greenview is an affiliate, says that Mike brings "tremendous expertise" to the facility and that his involvement with Greenview is expected to continue to provide "outstanding healthcare to the residents of South Central Kentucky."
Before joining HCA, Michael served as a CEO for LifePoint Hospitals.
Currently a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, he earned his Bachelor of Arts and business degree from Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee and his master's in health administration from the Virginia Commonwealth University.
Congratulations on your promotion, Michael.
